Hey travelers,
I’m Kelsey, and I plan trips for a living. Not the kind you piece together at midnight with thirty tabs open, but the kind where I quietly handle the details so the good parts are all that’s left. Hotels with personality, restaurants worth planning your day around, and itineraries with room to wander. This letter is where I share what I know.
Worth the Detour comes out every other week with places I’d actually send you. A lot of it starts with a destination everyone’s already heading toward, the one your feed keeps showing you, and points you to a better option: where to stay, what most people miss, the version of the trip that’s worth your time. It’s meant as inspiration, not a checklist. The kind worth saving for later, so that when you do plan a trip, you already know where the good version is.
And when one of these lands and you’d actually like to go, I can take it from there. Booking the trip is the part I handle, whether it’s as small as one hotel or as big as a multi-stop itinerary, often with perks that come at no extra cost to you: a room upgrade when there’s one to be had, breakfast on the house, a credit waiting at check-in. You can find me here.
Until then, subscribe, read along, and let the ideas find you every couple of weeks. I’m so glad you’re here.
